La enseñanza de la Historia en el currículo y el libro de texto como herramienta principal

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se va a hacer un recorrido por la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales a través de la asignatura que de conocimiento del medio. Se trata de un análisis de los contenidos de Historia que se aprenden a lo largo de la Educación Primaria, visto desde la perspectiva de los libros de texto, ya que a día de hoy son la herramienta principal en las aulas de los colegios. Para ello se investigará sobre los cursos en los que se trabajan las distintas edades de la Historia y las editoriales a través de las cuales el alumnado aprende dichos contenidos. Se estudiará de qué manera se presentan los contenidos analizando la correspondencia con el Currículo de las Enseñanzas de Educación Primaria en la Comunidad Foral de Navarra, a través del uso del lenguaje y de las imágenes. También atendiendo a la integración de culturas diferentes y las referencias hacia la mujer. Con ello se quiere comprobar la competencia de los libros de texto de aquellas editoriales más utilizadas para la enseñanza de la Historia en la Educación Primaria.

In this essay there will be a tour around teaching in Social Science. That is, we try to analyze the Historical contents taught throughout Primary Education, we are going to develop our analysis from a textbook perspective due to the fact that textbooks are nowadays the most-used tool in our schools. To that end, we will research about the teaching of History in the school years, the strategy to organize the teaching of History in order to learn and the publishers responsible of the tests being used. We will be researched on the way the contents are shown in the text and we will analyze the correspondence (if there is any) with texts on Primary Education in the Curriculum design in the Community of Navarre Syllabuses. For this, we will deep on the uses of the language and the images. Besides, we will attend the different cultures integration in the text and the references about women’s role. What we pretended is to check the suitability of the textbooks most used and the publishers’ in the organization of Historical contents in Primary Education.
