| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, due to the popularization of renewable generation systems, the stationary storage is becoming a necessary tool and electrochemical batteries are a suitable technology for these applications. At the same time, the need to evaluate its behavior under different working conditions among the wide range of their possibilities is growing too. For efficient management, it is essential to model the characteristics of the battery in order to predict its behavior on charge and discharge, allowing the optimization of the design for battery elements, as well as different elements of the system. In battery functioning, two basic parameters are defined: State of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH), which are refer to the available battery power (in %) and aging. In this final project a SOC estimation algorithm has been characterized for a lead-acid battery bank located in the microgrid of the Public University of Navarre. For this purpose a simplified bank lead-acid model has been conducted and an estimation method that allows to know the SOC more accurately than the available methods has been designed, with the aim of improving the energy management of the microgrid. The only information available for the microgrid is that of the current and the terminal voltage from 2012’s battery. So, after the algorithm has been characterized, it has been implemented in the microgrid in order to evaluate its performance in real time, as well as the development of the SOH. | es_ES |
