Usos del arte en educación infantil: análisis de una propuesta editorial

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como intención analizar la importancia que el mundo visual ha adquirido en nuestra sociedad actual. Se trata de una labor de repensar sobre las relaciones que se han establecido entre las artes visuales y la educación y cómo estas relaciones, determinan las propuestas que se llevan a cabo en las escuelas. Del mismo modo, se pretende contribuir, de alguna manera, a que la comunidad educativa las valore e incorpore como herramienta generadora de conocimiento. En concreto, la propuesta que se analiza es el reflejo de aquello que, desde mi propia experiencia, considero uno de los recursos más utilizados en esta etapa educativa. Se trata de un estudio, análisis y valoración sobre las propuestas que la editorial Anaya, como representación de otras muchas editoriales, lleva a cabo para los usos del arte en educación infantil. Este análisis deja entrever la concepción de arte e infancia que se desprenden de las mismas.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the importance that the visual arts have acquired in society today. The intention is to rethink the relationships that have been established between the visual arts and education, and how these relationships determine the way that educational policies are carried out in schools. At the same time, this study is intended to contribute to the way in which the educational community values the visual arts and how it incorporates them as a tool for the generation of new knowledge. More specifically, the policies being analysed are seen as reflecting the role of the visual arts in modern society, as I consider them to be among the most commonly used resources in the field of education at present. This is a study, analysis and assessment of the policies that the publisher Anaya – seen as representative of many other publishers – promotes in relation to the uses of art in early childhood education. The study aims to deduce the ways in which art and childhood are conceptualised in the educational policies of such publishers.
