Creación de un material didáctico que facilita la abstracción de suma-resta

Abstract

Durante el desarrollo del siguiente trabajo se han analizado los materiales didácticos que pueden resultar útiles a los niños de primer ciclo de Primaria para comprender claramente y lograr una abstracción de los conceptos de suma y resta. Nos planteamos unos objetivos que el método debía verificar y tras analizar distintos materiales disponibles, decidimos desarrollar un mecanismo basado en las tradicionales regletas numéricas. Pensamos que el material que proponemos consigue cumplir con los deseables de ser útil, eficiente y divertido para los niños. Además, del diseño del material, nos hemos planteado dos líneas de aplicación del mismo. Una para niños que han comprendido ambas definiciones de suma-resta (conjuntista y recursiva). Otra vía distinta de acción (que además hemos podido experimentar, con grandes resultados) se ha planteado para niños que aun habiendo entendido la definición conjuntista de adición, no lograban asimilar el concepto recursivo de siguiente, viéndose rezagados en la clase al no poder realizar sumas desligadas de dibujos

During the development of this paper we are going to treat some didactic materials. They can be useful to help the first and second grade students understand and achieve the abstraction of the concept of subtraction and addition. We set some objectives the method should verify and after analyzing the available materials we decide to carry out in a mechanism based on numerical strips. We think that the material we are suggesting will achieve our goals to be serviceable, efficient and funny for the kids. We not only design the material but also think of two ways of employing it. The first one is thought for the children who have understood both definitions (as cardinality of the union set of disjoint sets and the recursive definition through the use of the following) of addition-subtraction. The other procedure to use the materials (we have been able to try out and solved with great results) is set out for the pupils that although they do understand the set definition of addition, they cannot comprehend the recursive concept. This fact makes struggle in the classroom since they are not able to add when they cannot see a representation with an image of the addition
