resultados obtenidos a largo plazo. [--]

Background: The rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the most
frequent injuries among elite athletes. Rehabilitation that includes strength training,
plyometric training and postural control seems to be the most effective for recovery
after an ACL reconstruction.
Objective: The main of this research is to asses and demonstrate the effectiveness of
the different types of training that are actually used in the ACL rehabilitation.
Methods: After researching in databases such as PEDro, PubMed, Science Direct and
Web of Science, a bibliographic review and treatment proposal was carried out.
Results: It is shown that analysed strength and jump capacity training have beneficial
effects and are effective in ACL rehabilitation. They emphasize the improvement of
the muscular force in open kinetic chain and decrease of the patterns that increase
the risk of injury in the jump. In postural control training the results are not
significant.
Conclusion: It has been observed that the effectiveness of the treatments would
increase if they were worked in together, so that all the aspects are worked on in the
same training. Even so, more research is required to evaluate the results obtained in
the long term. [--]
