Talking about hospital setting, it is essential to establish strategies to improve care, prevent possible complications and reduce hospital mortality. Rapid Response Systems (RRS) are human teams with specific functions trained to anticipate or prevent Cardio - Respiratory arrest and death of patients. One of the primary goals of RRS is to detect the signs and symptoms that could cause the deterioration of the patient to reverse them in time and thus, try to minimize the possible consequences. The main objective of the present stud y is to synthesize the existing evidence on the Rapid Response Systems, as well as to know the benefits of a proposal of instauration in a specific hospital. The databases searched were Medline, the Web Of Science and CINAHL. We obtained 37 articles of whi ch 22 were included in the study. The review showed the following benefits related to the Rapid Response Systems: Reduction in the hospital mortality rate, decrease in the incidence of cardio respiratory stops within the hospital and an increase in unsched uled ICU admissions. In addition, a relationship was found with the SRRs and the satisfaction of the nursing staff. Finally, a theoretical proposal adapted for the reference hospital of the Community was developed. [--]
