| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | We live in a volatile world in many different aspects such as communications, market (increasingly globalized), ideas… But, moreover, a world of deprivation and misery, all in all, frequently there is a lack of fundamental and substantive freedom. As a socializing institution, schools can contribute to increase and guarantee the fundamental freedom that every individual should have with the aim of achieving a better and more sustainable development. My project consists of investigating if the methodology used in classrooms (lectures, debates, teamwork…) actually contributes to that freedom broadening, and if so, what types of methodologies have a better coverage of the goals. To carry out this investigation, firstly, we have to research both in the freedom topic (basically with the economist and Noble Prize in 1998, Amaryta Sen) and in the different methodologies of teaching class. I have also worked with the information provided by staff at the center I made the Practicum I and II. The objective of the research is to determine which of the three most common teaching methodologies (Lecture, class participation and project teaching) is generally the one with a better appreciation for the two parts that make up the class. Which one helps students acquire more knowledge, skills, values and contributes most to the integral development of the person. Another objective of the research is to understand what are the strengths and weaknesses of each of the methodologies, and if there is agreement between the views of the two groups. Also the purpose of the empirical research is to analyze which of the methodologies and teaching strategies may be more suitable in school socializing functions, helping to develop each student's individual freedoms and train people with a critical mind to make them participate and more responsible in society. | en |
