d-Choquet integrals: Choquet integrals based on dissimilarities
(Elsevier, 2020) Bustince Sola, Humberto; Mesiar, Radko; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Galar Idoate, Mikel; Paternain Dallo, Daniel; Altalhi, A. H.; Pereira Dimuro, Graçaliz; Bedregal, Benjamin; Takáč, Zdenko; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika; Institute of Smart Cities - ISC; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Universidad Pública de Navarra / Nafarroako Unibertsitate Publikoa, PJUPNA13
The paper introduces a new class of functions from [0,1]n to [0,n] called d-Choquet integrals. These functions are a generalization of the 'standard' Choquet integral obtained by replacing the difference in the definition of the usual Choquet integral by a dissimilarity function. In particular, the class of all d-Choquet integrals encompasses the class of all 'standard' Choquet integrals but the use of dissimilarities provides higher flexibility and generality. We show that some d-Choquet integrals are aggregation/pre-aggregation/averaging/functions and some of them are not. The conditions under which this happens are stated and other properties of the d-Choquet integrals are studied.

F-homogeneous functions and a generalization of directional monotonicity
(Wiley, 2022) Santiago, Regivan; Sesma Sara, Mikel; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Takáč, Zdenko; Mesiar, Radko; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika
A function that takes (Formula presented.) numbers as input and outputs one number is said to be homogeneous whenever the result of multiplying each input by a certain factor (Formula presented.) yields the original output multiplied by that same factor. This concept has been extended by the notion of abstract homogeneity, which generalizes the product in the expression of homogeneity by a general function (Formula presented.) and the effect of the factor (Formula presented.) by an automorphism. However, the effect of parameter (Formula presented.) remains unchanged for all the input values. In this study, we generalize further the condition of abstract homogeneity by introducing (Formula presented.) -homogeneity, which is defined with respect to a family of functions, enabling a different behavior for each of the inputs. Next, we study the properties that are satisfied by this family of functions and, moreover, we link this concept with the condition of directional monotonicity, which is a trendy property in the framework of aggregation functions. To achieve that, we generalize directional monotonicity by (Formula presented.) directional monotonicity, which is defined with respect to a family of functions (Formula presented.) and a family of vectors (Formula presented.). Finally, we show how the introduced concepts could be applied in two different problems of computer vision: a snow detection problem and image thresholding improvement. © 2022 The Authors. Dissimilarity based choquet integrals
(Springer, 2020) Bustince Sola, Humberto; Mesiar, Radko; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Galar Idoate, Mikel; Paternain Dallo, Daniel; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika
In this paper, in order to generalize the Choquet integral, we replace the difference between inputs in its definition by a restricted dissimilarity function and refer to the obtained function as d-Choquet integral. For some particular restricted dissimilarity function the corresponding d-Choquet integral with respect to a fuzzy measure is just the ‘standard’ Choquet integral with respect to the same fuzzy measure. Hence, the class of all d-Choquet integrals encompasses the class of all 'standard' Choquet integrals. This approach allows us to construct a wide class of new functions, d-Choquet integrals, that are possibly, unlike the 'standard' Choquet integral, outside of the scope of aggregation functions since the monotonicity is, for some restricted dissimilarity function, violated and also the range of such functions can be wider than [0, 1], in particular it can be [0, n].

Local properties of strengthened ordered directional and other forms of monotonicity
(Springer, 2019) Sesma Sara, Mikel; Miguel Turullols, Laura de; Mesiar, Radko; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika; Universidad Pública de Navarra / Nafarroako Unibertsitate Publikoa, PJUPNA13
In this study we discuss some of the recent generalized forms of monotonicity, introduced in the attempt of relaxing the monotonicity condition of aggregation functions. Specifically, we deal with weak, directional, ordered directional and strengthened ordered directional monotonicity. We present some of the most relevant properties of the functions that satisfy each of these monotonicity conditions and, using the concept of pointwise directional monotonicity, we carry out a local study of the discussed relaxations of monotonicity. This local study enables to highlight the differences between each notion of monotonicity. We illustrate such differences with an example of a restricted equivalence function.

Construction of admissible linear orders for interval-valued Atanassov intuitionistic fuzzy sets with an application to decision making
(Elsevier, 2015) Miguel Turullols, Laura de; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Induráin Eraso, Esteban; Kolesárová, Anna; Mesiar, Radko; Matemáticas; Matematika; Automática y Computación; Automatika eta Konputazioa; Universidad Pública de Navarra / Nafarroako Unibertsitate Publikoa
In this work we introduce a method for constructing linear orders between pairs of intervals by using aggregation functions. We adapt this method to the case of interval-valued Atanassov intuitionistic fuzzy sets and we apply these sets and the considered orders to a decision making problem.

    Generalized decomposition integral
(Elsevier, 2020) Horanská, Lubomíra; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Mesiar, Radko; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika; Institute of Smart Cities - ISC; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas
In this paper we propose two different generalizations of the decomposition integral introduced by Even and Lehrer. We modify the product operator merging a given capacity and the decomposition coefficients by some more general functions F and G and compare properties of the obtained functionals with properties of the original decomposition integral. Generalized decomposition integrals corresponding to the particular decomposition systems, being generalizations of Shilkret, Choquet and concave integrals, are studied and exemplified.

A generalization of the Choquet integral defined in terms of the Mobius transform
(IEEE, 2020) Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Horanská, Lubomíra; Mesiar, Radko; Stupñanová, Andrea; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika
In this article, we propose a generalization of the Choquet integral, starting fromits definition in terms of the Mobius transform. We modify the product on R considered in the Lovasz extension form of the Choquet integral into a function F, and we discuss the properties of this new functional. For a fixed n, a complete description of all F yielding an n-ary aggregation function with a fixed diagonal section, independent of the considered fuzzy measure, is given, and several particular examples are presented. Finally, all functions F yielding an aggregation function, independent of the number n of inputs and of the considered fuzzy measure, are characterized, and related aggregation functions are shown to be just the Choquet integrals over the distorted inputs.

On some classes of directionally monotone functions
(Elsevier, 2020) Bustince Sola, Humberto; Mesiar, Radko; Kolesárová, Anna; Pereira Dimuro, Graçaliz; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Díaz, Irene; Montes Rodríguez, Susana; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika; Institute of Smart Cities - ISC; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas
In this work we consider some classes of functions with relaxed monotonicity conditions generalizing some other given classes of fusion functions. In particular, directionally increasing aggregation functions (called also pre-aggregation functions), directionally increasing conjunctors, or directionally increasing implications, etc., generalize the standard classes of aggregation functions, conjunctors, or implication functions, respectively. We analyze different properties of these classes of functions and we discuss a construction method in terms of linear combinations of t-norms.

Degree of totalness: how to choose the best admissible permutation for vector fuzzy integration
(Elsevier, 2023) Ferrero Jaurrieta, Mikel; Horanská, Lubomíra; Lafuente López, Julio; Mesiar, Radko; Pereira Dimuro, Graçaliz; Takáč, Zdenko; Gómez Fernández, Marisol; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika
The use of aggregation operators that require ordering of the data brings a problem when the structures to be aggregated are multi-valued, since there may be several admissible orders. To addressing this problem, the concept of admissible permutation was introduced for intervals. In this paper we extend this concept to vector domain. However, the problem of selecting the best possible permutation is still an open problem. In this paper we present a novel concept in order to choose the best admissible permutation for vectors: the degree of totalness. This concept allows us to represent to which degree the admissible permutation reorder given vectors as a chain with respect to the partial order. Finally, from the best admissible permutation we construct the Choquet integral.
