Redes sociales y nuevas lógicas de funcionamiento del racismo: un estudio desde la perspectiva del trabajo social

La inmigración desde sus inicios se ha presentado como un fenómeno que ha ido evolucionando y manteniéndose a lo largo de toda la historia, siendo hoy en día una realidad en nuestra sociedad. Con este, se han hecho presentes también las primeras manifestaciones de rechazo a través de discursos de odio hacía las personas migrantes, con los que se busca poner énfasis sobre las diferencias en los rasgos físicos, así como culturales, con el fin de justificar el por qué estos individuos no pueden formar parte de la sociedad española. Este tipo de discursos de odio, con el auge de las nuevas tecnologías, pasaron a las grandes plataformas sociales como Twitter actualmente conocida bajo el nombre de “X”1, dándoles gran visibilidad mediática, afectando negativamente a la población inmigrante. Visto de esta manera, el presente trabajo de investigación pretende identificar a través de la mirada del Trabajo Social, los discursos de odio que se tienen sobre la población inmigrante en España para así, posteriormente, conocer qué medidas u herramientas se podrían aplicar con el fin de erradicar este tipo de discursos.

Since its beginnings, immigration has been a phenomenon that has evolved and continued throughout history, being now a reality in our society. With this, the first manifestations of rejection have also appeared through hate speeches towards migrants, which seek to emphasize the differences in physical and cultural traits, in order to justify why these individuals cannot form part of Spanish society. This type of hate speech, with the rise of new technologies, has moved to large social platforms such as Twitter, currently known under the name "X", giving them great media visibility, and negatively affecting the immigrant population. Seen in this way, this research work aims to identify, through the eyes of Social Work, the hate speeches that are held about the immigrant population in Spain in order to subsequently find out what measures or tools could be applied in order to eradicate this type of speeches.
