Oficios del agua en la Ribera de Navarra

Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio antropológico sobre oficios ligados a la cultura fluvial del valle del Ebro medio. Además de realizar un primer inventario y clasificación de los citados trabajos, en esta investigación se recogen un conjunto de testimonios de personas de edad avanzada que, en el momento de ser entrevistadas, mantienen conocimientos y técnicas en riesgo de desaparición. Este estudio pretende recuperar la memoria del agua, teniendo en cuenta la historicidad del líquido elemento y, también, contribuir al conocimiento y puesta en valor del patrimonio cultural de la Ribera de Navarra.

This paper presents the results of an anthropology study on crafts related to river culture from the middle Ebro valley. Apart from making a first inventory and a classification of the mentioned jobs, this research collects a set of testimonies by elderly people who—at the time of being interviewed—kept knowledge and techniques in risk of disappearing. This study aims to recover the memory of water, taking into account the historicity of the liquid element, as well as contributing to the knowledge and enhancement of the cultural heritage from la Ribera of Navarra.
