Abstract

Figure O2.3, "The TEFE Framework for the Internationalisation of Teaching Practice and Employability – Competences Chart," serves as a visual representation of the TEFE Framework's architecture. This framework, developed collaboratively within the TEFE Consortium over three years, introduces three core employability competences (ICC, PTCI, and GCC) and their sub-competences. The TEFE Framework is designed with a dual structure to support both university educators and student teachers of English, providing essential competences and an assessment framework. It encompasses two main components: one that identifies and develops employability competences and another that facilitates candidate self-assessment and structured reflection. This structured approach empowers future teachers to comprehensively develop the skills and competences necessary for effective teaching in diverse global classrooms.
