Abstract
This study intends to explore the effect the use of two of those online tools, Oxford Collocation Dictionary and Word Reference, might have on the quality of secondary education learners’ writing in terms of vocabulary richness. First, an overview of previous studies’ on vocabulary acquisition and the use of online reference tools for writing development will be provided, followed by the research questions and the methodology adopted. Then, the results will be analysed and conclusions will be drawn.
