Se parte de realizar un análisis de los antecedentes y el estado actual de este tipo de sistemas, las distintas variantes existentes, así como las potencialidades en la localidad municipal y se detalla el diseño propuesto, los cálculos realizados y la selección de los materiales. También se muestra los análisis estructurales y de fuerza hechos mediante simulación, utilizando el software SolidWork 2014.This paper describes the methodology used for the design of a rotor of Savonius type to be used as hydrokinetic generator in an artificial water channel in the province of Pinar del Rio is described.
