The product is expected to enable users to perform daily tasks independently, safely and comfortably. Several alternatives have been studied taking into account the main needs of people with disabilities. The selected product has been designed by using SolidWorks. It consists of a motorised linear system using a rack and pinion mechanism that gives movement to an adapted and comfortable seat, IoT has also been integrated to facilitate the protocol in case of emergency. In addition, some key components have been studied by simulating a real scene to verify their correct design and functioning. Furthermore, the rack and pinion system has been analysed to bending stress and deterioration failure and an interactive website has been done in order to make those analysis more efficiently. A detailed budget has been made to approximate the price of the product, making it accessible to a wider range of consumers.application/pdfengDesign of a shower platformPeople with disabilitiesDesign of a washroom product oriented to people with disabilitiesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesis2025-02-18info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
