The limitations and advantages of this configuration are discussed, and the study of the ring-down time as a function of the current applied and gain to the EDFA is also presented. In this case, the power fluctuations in the output signal are strongly dependent on the cavity ring-down time with the EDFA gain.application/pdfengThis article is distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided you give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the source, provide a link to the Creative Commons license, and indicate if changes were made.Cavity ring downEDFAMultimode laserOptical fibersFiber cavity ring down and gain amplification effectinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
