Se analiza el articulado del fuero fundacional otorgado por el rey Luis I de Navarra, que rigió la vida en comunidad de sus habitantes. A causa de su condición de localidad de nueva creación, fue habitada por una inmigración de origen geográfico diverso, no solamente procedente de tierras bajonavarras, sino también de condados y vizcondados de toda la franja norte de los Pirineos y otras zonas de Francia que mantuvieron lazos regulares con el reino de Navarra.This article studies the foundation and early history of La Bastide Clairence, with a focus on the foundational charter granted by King Louis I of Navarre, which governed the life of the community.
