María Cruz Mina Apat

Abstract

María Cruz Mina ha dedicado más de treinta años a la docencia y a la investigación. Sus aportaciones más reseñables versan sobre historia de Navarra, sobre la que trató su «transgresora » tesis doctoral, las bases ideológicas y la evolución del carlismo, el desarrollo del fuerismo y las relaciones entre carlismo y nacionalismo vasco. También ha abordado desde el punto de vista del pensamiento político la dificultad casi insalvable para compatibilizar la ciudadanía con el nacionalismo. Defiende que el ideal de ciudadanía es hoy la única cultura universal y, por tanto, plantea su rescate frente a la teología política de las esencias colectivas.

María Cruz Mina dedicated more than thirty years of her life to teach and investigate. She contributed notably to the history of Navarra, the topic of her transgressive doctoral thesis, the ideological foundations and evolution of Carlism, the develop of the «fuerismo» and the relationships between the Carlism and Basque nationalism. She also tried compatible citizenship and nationalism, analyzing it from a political point of view in the her opinion the ideal citizenship is the only universal culture nowadays so she suggested recover it and to oppose it the political theology about collective essences.
