Thermoelectricity is an alternative way of generating electrical power. Nowadays it is known
that environment has been damaged by the traditional methods of generating so in order to
improve them and improving their efficiencies new technologies need to be researched.
In this project, thermoelectric generator and a special heat exchanger are being studying to
applicate them in a system of generating. The heat exchanger is necessary because the effective
area of heat transmission in the module is very limited, so using them larger areas and a higher
difference of temperature between the two sides of the module are reached, which is important
in his own work. A heat exchanger with thermosiphon system and phase change is studied to
learn about his own running. This one is selected because it doesn’t have any mechanism or any
moving part to accomplish its work so them permits systems of generating reach better global
efficiencies.
The characterization is carried out in the laboratory with different number of modules and
different powers of heat which are provided to the modules to generate, the investigator has to
learn about the performance of the interchanger in generating systems and what is the best way
to use them. With the results obtained a computational model of generating system developed
by the group of investigation of engineering thermic and fluids has to be validated [--]
