La hipertensión se presenta a nivel mundial como una de las principales causas de
muerte y discapacidad. Una de las grandes problemáticas de esta enfermedad crónica
es la falta de adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico y no farmacológico. Esta
realidad hace que muchos pacientes no logren tener un buen control de la tensión
arterial y aumenten el riesgo de sufrir eventos cardiovasculares, deteriorando en gran
medida su calidad de vida
El objetivo principal que se plantea en esta revisión bibliográfica es identificar y
proponer las principales intervenciones con pacientes hipertensos que mejoren la
adherencia terapéutica de estos.
Los resultados obtenidos se agrupan en seis categorías de intervenciones: las
informativas, las educativas, las de seguimiento, las que inciden sobre el tratamiento,
las complejas y las que inciden sobre la relación paciente-profesional.
Se concluye que las intervenciones que deben realizarse sobre la adherencia
terapéutica, son intervenciones complejas, que abarquen la naturaleza multifactorial
de la adherencia terapéutica, desde la base de una relación de ayuda entre el
profesional y el paciente, el fomento de los autocuidados y la autorresponsabilidad del

The main objective to which this bibliographical revision aims, is to identify and
propose the main interventions in hypertensive patients that improve their
therapeutical adherence.
The results obtained are grouped in six categories of interventions: informatives,
educatives, monitored ones, those which affect the treatement, the complex and
those which afect the relation patient-profesional.
It is concluded that the interventions that must adhere therapeuticaly are complex
interventions that cover the multifactorial nature of therapeutical adherence, from the
basis of a help relation between the profesional and the patient, promoting self-care
and the self-responsibility of the patient [--]
