La pesca industrial y la emigración gallega en Trintxerpe, 1920-1970

Abstract

La técnica de pesca del arrastre y la máquina de vapor, supone el desarrollo de la pesca industrial a inicios del siglo XX. Esta presentación estudia los movimientos demográficos de marineros gallegos y de mujeres, hacia el puerto vasco de Pasajes, el traslado de saberes de la pesca artesanal en las rías gallegas hacia la pesca industrial, la evolución de la misma, la emigración y el freno migratorio.

The trawling and the steam machine influenced in the development of industrial fishery at the beginning of the twentieth century. The aim of this presentation is to show the demographical movement of fishermen and women coming from Galicia to Pasaia, in the Basque Country. We will also show the coming of fishing knowledge from Galicia to Pasaia, and it’s using in the new industrial fishery, how this process evolves and when the immigration stops.
