Importancia de la vacunación infantil. Plan de educación sanitaria a madres y padres con hijos/as en edad de vacunación

Abstract

Introducción: El uso de las vacunas ha supuesto un gran avance para la prevención de enfermedades. De la mano de las vacunas han aparecido numerosos movimientos en contra de las mismas, que con el paso de los años han ido ganando fuerza, con el consiguiente descenso de las coberturas de vacunación. Por ello, es importante ofrecer a la población toda la información necesaria sobre las vacunas y ayudemos a responder las dudas que los pacientes puedan tener sobre este tema. Objetivos: El objetivo principal de este proyecto es realizar un plan de educación sanitaria para madres y padres primerizos cuyos hijos e hijas van a recibir las primeras vacunas. Metodología: He realizado una búsqueda bibliográfica con el objetivo de conocer la situación actual de las coberturas vacunales y saber cuáles son las razones que tienen los padres para decidir no vacunar a sus hijos. Resultados: He revisado un total de artículos diez, además de páginas web y libros que me han ayudado a conocer la situación de las vacunas tanto en España como en otros países del mundo. En ellos hablan de la importancia que tiene internet a la hora de la toma de decisiones y del papel tan importante que tienen los profesionales sanitarios. Conclusiones: Es necesario prevenir posibles descensos de las coberturas vacunales. Para ello es necesario informar a los padres y madres cuyos hijos van a recibir sus primeras vacunas de la importancia que tienen. Esto responsabilidad de todos los profesionales sanitarios.

Introduction: The use of vaccines has meant a great advance for the prevention of diseases. At the same time that the vaccines have appeared, numerous movements against them have been gaining strength over the years, with the consequent decline in vaccination coverage. Therefore, it is important to offer the population all the necessary information about vaccines and help answer any questions that patients may have about this topic. Objetives: The main objective of this project is to carry out a health education plan for new mothers and fathers whose sons and daughters will receive the first vaccines. Methodology: I have carried out a literatura review with the objective of knowing the current situation of vaccination coverage and to know what are the reasons that parents have to decide not to vaccinate their children. Results: I have reviewed a total of ten articles, web pages and books that have helped me to know the situation of vaccines both in Spain and in other countries of the world. They talk about the importance of the internet when making decisions and the important role that health professionals have. Conclusions: It is necessary to prevent possible declines in vaccination coverage. For this it is necessary to inform the parents whose children will receive their first vaccines of the importance they have. This responsibility of all health professionals.
