El objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar que la interpretación del arte puede ser un
medio para desarrollar el pensamiento crítico. Para ello, se han tenido en cuenta las
teorías que tratan el campo del pensamiento crítico, además del modo de desarrollar la
interpretación del arte en el contexto artístico-educativo y cultural actual. Esta ha sido
la base sobre la que se ha desarrollado una propuesta didáctica que no ha podido
llevarse a la práctica por la excepcional situación vivida en 2020. Esta queda abierta a
cualquier docente interesado en ponerla en práctica para demostrar su efectividad.
Además del objetivo principal se llevan a cabo otros como poner en valor la asignatura
de educación artística y las técnicas que no suelen trabajarse en esta, como es la
interpretación. Asimismo, se trata el pensamiento crítico desde una perspectiva en la
que el objetivo es la propia capacidad de pensar críticamente, por encima de los

The main objective of this work is to demonstrate that critical thinking can be developed
by the interpretation of art. To this end, theories that have dealt with the area of critical
thinking have been considered. Along with this, we have sought to develop the
interpretation of art in the artistic-educational and cultural context in which we live.
These two bases have been used as a reference to develop a teaching proposal. The
latter has not been implemented because of the exceptional situation of 2020;
therefore, it is open to any teacher interested in putting it into practice to demonstrate
its effectiveness. In this case, besides the main objective, other ones will also be
pursued, such as using different artistic resources we are not used to, like interpretation
or that capacities take the superiority that content has. In addition, the importance of
