Establecimiento de modelos para la evaluación del rendimiento en viñedo

Abstract

En el sector vitivinícola es de gran importancia disponer de información sobre el estado y nivel de la cosecha con la mayor antelación posible, ya que esto permite a productores y bodegas anticiparse a los problemas, y dimensionar las operaciones de cultivo y elaboración. El presente trabajo, por una parte, evaluó la adecuación de una metodología sencilla para la estimación del nivel de floración a nivel de parcela y variedad. Para ello se empleó una base de datos de mediciones de racimos de una bodega navarra (Máximo Abete). Las mediciones se realizaron en 2019 en tres variedades (Garnacha, Graciano y Tempranillo). Se demostró que la floridez de los hombros sin malformaciones fue representativa para la floridez a nivel de parcela, y los hombros con o sin malformaciones a nivel de variedad. El segundo objetivo fue establecer modelos de estimación precoz del rendimiento, adaptados a las condiciones de la bodega. Para ello se utilizó una base de datos de diferentes mediciones de los componentes de la vid de las campañas de cuatro años (2016 a 2019), con cinco variedades (Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot y Tempranillo). Los modelos determinaron que para Garnacha conociendo el peso del racimo y el número de racimos por cepa, puede determinarse el rendimiento con un error de 0.5 kg por cepa en la mayoría de las parcelas. Este modelo también resultó eficiente para el resto de variedades de la bodega, pero el error esperable sería mayor.

In the wine sector, it is of great importance to have information on the state and level of the harvest as far in advance as possible, as is allows producers and wineries to anticipate the problems, and to size up the cultivation and processing operations. In this study, the first objective was to evaluate the adequacy of a simple methodology for the estimation of the flowering level inside of the plot and variety. For this purpose, is was used the database of bunch measurements from a winery in Navarre (Máximo Abete). Measurements were taken in 2019 on three varieties (Grenache, Graciano and Tempranillo). It has been shown that the number of flowers of the shoulders without malformations are representative for the number of flowers at plot level, and the shoulders with or without malformations at variety level. The second objective was to establish early yield estimation models, adapted to the conditions of the winery. For this purpose, a database of different measurements of the components of the vine from the four-year (2016 to 2019) was used, with five varieties (Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot and Tempranillo). The model for Grenache shows that yield can be determined in most vineyards of the cellar with an average error of 0.5 kg per vine just knowing the number of bunches and the weight of the bunch before veraison. This model has also proved efficiency for the rest of the winery varieties, but the expected error would be increased.
