Desigualdades sociales en salud y COVID-19

Para mejorar la crisis sanitaria provocada por la COVID-19 es necesario aplicar medidas de protección que sean efectivas y asequibles para toda la población. El objetivo principal de este estudio, es mostrar como las desigualdades sociales en salud influyen en la vulnerabilidad ante la COVID-19 y dificultan la buena toma de medidas de protección frente a la infección. Para poder lograr el objetivo, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación de la literatura científica relacionada con el impacto de las desigualdades sociales ante la COVID-19 y además se ha hecho uso de estudios estadísticos nacionales e internacionales para mostrar que los que más desigualdades sufren son los que han tenido mayores tasas de morbimortalidad. El análisis de las investigaciones junto con diferentes estudios estadísticos nacionales e internacionales, muestran una relación entre la clase social más baja y las desigualdades sociales, asociándolas también con una mayor vulnerabilidad ante la COVID-19. El buen uso de las medidas de protección está directamente asociado con una mejor evolución de la pandemia, por lo tanto se realizará un plan de mejora basado en la educación sanitaria dirigida al grupo vulnerable, para que comprendan qué es la COVID-19 y qué supone esta pandemia para ellos. Posteriormente, se intentará darles facilidades para que puedan protegerse ante el virus y finalmente intentar mejorar la situación general de la pandemia disminuyendo en la medida de lo posible la tasa de morbimortalidad de este grupo vulnerable.

To improve the health crisis caused by COVID-19, it is necessary to apply effective and affordable protection measures for the entire population. The main objective of this study is to show how social inequalities in health incluence vulnerability to COVID-19 and make it difficult to take good protection measures against infection. In order to achieve the objective, an investigation of the scientific literature related to the impact of social inequalities in the face of COVID-19 has been carried out and, in addition, national and international statistical studies have been used to show that those who suffer the most inequalities are the ones with the highest morbidity and mortality rates. The analysis of the research together with different national and international statistical studies, show a relationship between the lowest social class and social inequalities, also associating them with a greater vulnerability to COVID-19. The proper use of protection measures is directly associated with a better evolution of the pandemic, therefore an improvement plan will be made base don health education aimed at the vulnerable group, so taht they undestand what COVID-19 is and what it means this pandemic for them. Subsequently, an attempt will be made to provide them with facilities so that they can protect themselves against the virus and finally try to improve the general situation of the pandemic by reducing the morbidity and mortality rate of this vulnerable group as much as posible.
