Orígenes, expansión y crisis de la empresa harinera Alzugaray y Compañía, 1840-1888

Abstract

La historia económica de la empresa harinera de Alzugaray y Compañía permite abordar la trayectoria de los mercados en los que actuó la burguesía navarra aprovechando las ventajas comparativas que ofreció el nuevo marco institucional y económico posterior a 1841. El ejemplo de una de esas sagas típicas del capitalismo familiar delimita los pérfiles de la estrategia de acumulación y diversidad de los negocios en la escala de los circutos mercantiles del interior (mercado español) y exterior (Las Antillas).
