oportunas a diferentes niveles.

Infekzio gastrointestinalek eragiten dituzte, batez ere, beherako gaixotasun akutuak, eta infekzio

erabiltzen den ura kutsatuta dagoenean, infekzioak sortzen ditu ur horretaz hornitzen diren hainbat
biztanlerengan. Uraren osasun-zaintza da gaixotasun horiek prebenitzeko osasun publikoko eskuhartzerik eraginkorrenetako bat. Ildo horretatik, kontsumorako urak transmititutako infekzio
gastrointestinalen erikortasunaren intzidentzia murriztea da programa honen helburu nagusia,
Santa Cruz-Boliviako departamenduan 37 EPSA banatuta. Horretarako, lehenengo fasean,
diziplina anitzeko lan-talde bat sortuko da, eta, ondoren, uraren kalitatea monitorizatzeko sistema
bat ezarriko da; hirugarren fasean, berriz, ur-hornidura zaintzeko eta bermatzeko sistema bat
ezarriko da, hainbat mailatara dagozkion esku-hartzeak bideratzeko. Programa horri esker, OMEk
infekzio gastrointestinalak prebenitzeko emandako jarraibideak bete ahal izango dira, eta
ahaleginak, edateko uraren hornidura segurua hobetzera bideratuko dira. [--]

Acute diarrheal diseases " ADD" are mainly caused by gastrointestinal infections and most of
them are transmitted through water as the most important vehicle for their transmission. When
water intended for human consumption is contaminated, it usually causes infections in several
members of the population that uses it. Water sanitary surveillance is one of the most effective
public health interventions for the prevention of these diseases. In this sense, the main objective
of this program is to reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal infections transmitted by drinking
water distributed by the 37 EPSAs in the department of Santa Cruz - Bolivia. To this end, in the
first phase, a multidisciplinary work team will be created, followed by the implementation of a
water quality monitoring system and, in the third phase, the establishment of a water supply
monitoring and guarantee system, with the purpose of directing timely interventions at different
levels. This program will make it possible to comply with WHO guidelines for the prevention of
gastrointestinal infections, focusing efforts on improving the safe supply of drinking water. [--]
