La educación afectivo-sexual en contextos formales: una intervención en 5º EP

Abstract

La Educación Afectivo-Sexual (EAS) es tan polémica como indispensable en la vida de la totalidad de las personas. Este trabajo surge con el fin de arrojar luz a este ámbito de la educación y crear una unidad orientada al fomento de la EAS en 5º EP basada en los intereses y conocimientos previos del alumnado para normalizar el diálogo sobre la sexualidad, resolver dudas relativas y abrir caminos para la reflexión y debate lejos de juicios y desde el respeto. Se diferencia una parte teórica que trata el concepto e importancia de la EAS, el reto que supone para la Educación y cómo se garantiza; y un estudio empírico en el que se detalla la intervención. Se lleva a cabo una intervención formada por cuatro sesiones en un colegio público de Pamplona, Navarra, con 52 estudiantes. Tras describir las sesiones y analizar y discutir los resultados de una evaluación por parte del alumnado se confirman las hipótesis planteadas inicialmente: el alumnado tiene muchas dudas relativas a la pubertad y los cambios asociados, basa su EAS en la pornografía, lo que ve en Internet o películas y la mayoría no es capaz de comprender, identificar y comunicar sus emociones.

Affective-Sexual Education (ASE) is as controversial as it is indispensable in the lives of all people. The aim of this work is to shed light on this area of education and to create a unit oriented towards the promotion of ASE in 5th grade of Primary Education based on the interests and previous knowledge of the students in order to normalise dialogue on sexuality, resolve doubts and open paths for reflection and debate far from judgements and from a respectful point of view. There is a theoretical part that deals with the concept and importance of ASE, the challenge it represents for education and how it is guaranteed; and an empirical study in which the intervention is detailed. An intervention consisting of four sessions is carried out in a public school in Pamplona, Navarre, with 52 students. After describing the sessions and analysing and discussing the results of an evaluation by the students, the hypotheses initially put forward are confirmed: the students have many doubts about puberty and the associated changes, they base their ASE on pornography, what they see on the Internet or in films, and most of them are not able to understand, identify and communicate their emotions.
