Sesgo de movilidad en los estudios migratorios. El caso cubano

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado muestra un estudio sobre el sesgo de movilidad en los estudios de migraciones y se plantea la necesidad de tener en cuenta a la población que no emigra en los estudios sobre las migraciones y no únicamente a las personas que salen de un país. Desde el caso cubano, por un lado se investigan las causas que favorecen la migración y, por otro lado, las razones por las que una gran parte de la población cubana no migra. Se ha utilizado la entrevista semiestructurada como técnica de investigación. Los resultados muestran un amplio abanico de causas para migrar e, igualmente, razones que conducen a la inmovilidad.

This Final Degree Project shows a study on the mobility bias in migration studies and raises the need to take into account the population that does not migrate in migration studies and not only the people who leave a country. From the Cuban case, on the one hand, the causes that favor migration are investigated and, on the other hand, the reasons why a large part of the Cuban population does not migrate. The semi-structured interview was used as a research technique. The results show a wide range of causes for migration and, equally, reasons that lead to immobility.
