Dificultades de aprendizaje de contenidos geográficos en primaria. Propuesta de materiales curriculares.

Abstract

Se observa que el alumnado posee dificultades de aprendizaje respecto a la asignatura de Conocimiento del Medio Natural, Social y Cultural, y, especialmente en la materia de Geografía. Por ello, se decide a hacer un cuestionario al profesorado y al alumnado y estos confirman las sospechas. Ante las opiniones de estos y atendiendo a las dificultades presentadas, se pone de manifiesto la necesidad de modificar dicha situación. Para ello, se decide realizar una propuesta didáctica basada en unos materiales innovadores en el que se ponga la atención en el poder creador del alumnado. Pero sobre todo, que sea este el que cooperando en grupo y siguiendo el referente dado previamente por el docente realice un mapa interactivo de su Comunidad Autónoma. Para ello, deberán plasmar todos los factores que consideren necesarios para dar una explicación completa e interrelacionada del paisaje en el que se encuentran.

It was observed that students were experiencing certain difficulties in the subject of Natural Sciences and more specifically in the area concerned with geography. For this reason, we decided it would be helpful to have both the students and teacher fill out a questionnaire so as to confirm these suspicions. Given the opinions expressed by both these groups and in view of the apparent difficulties, it was obvious that this situation needed to be modified. Therefore it was decided to redesign the methodological approach to the teaching of these concepts basing it on the use of innovative materials which would change the focus of the lesson so that the students´ creative capacities could be brought into play. Above all, the objective for the students was to independently design an interactive map of their Autonomus Community through group work and under the guidance of a teacher. To this end, all the factors which they considered necessary so as to give a well rounded and interrelated explanation of the various features of the landscape in which they found themselves needed to be included in their work.
