Academica-e is the Public University of Navarre’s institutional repository. Its objective is to assemble, organise, preserve and disseminate the scientific and academic output of the university community. The purpose is to increase the visibility and impact of research results through open access.

The repository is based on DSpace , an open-source collaboratory project started by the M.I.T. and used in numerous countries throughout the world for the creation of open-access digital repositories.

UPNA’s institutional repository is in line with the international movement in favour of open access to scientific output. To this end, it takes the movement’s policies on board and complies with the international protocols and standards for interoperability between repositories and document description.

Academica-e is starting out with a collection of master thesis; other collections will then be added on a gradual basis.
