| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the data traffic generated by users of cablemodems is studied. This service must be guaranteed for accomplishing certain Quality of Service and limiting the maximum bandwidth per user. The analysis presents the differences between guaranteed UDP and TCP traffic, and how the excess of bandwidth is borrowed between users. This allows a very good utilization of network resources, and at the same time, a limitation of maximum bandwidth per user. | en |
