University and sostenibility: how to define a students´ sustainability profile based on the NEMOS project

Abstract

This work is the result of the sociological investigation carried out in Navarre (Spain) among the agents involved in the project (educational community and stakeholders), in order to define the Sustainability Profile for Students , the objective of the first part of the NEMOS project. General goal: To identify the opinions and attitudes, as well as their key discourses, regarding the concept of sustainability held by the lecturers and students of the Food related Degrees and stake holders involved in the subject. Specific goals: Sustainability in education; strengths and weaknesses for its presence and dissemination at University; sustainability profile to be built by the students; personal position as lecturers in relation to sustainability; training needs of students and lecturers; sustainable habits and practices of students and lecturers; defining what sustainability content and values should be transmitted in teaching; knowledge and attitudes towards Service Learning and its relation to sustainability.
