La atención a la dimensión socio-afectiva y emocional del alumnado con altas capacidades intelectuales

Abstract

En estos últimos años el estudio de diversas cuestiones referidas al desarrollo emocional y social de los niños con altas capacidades ha ido, poco a poco, ocupando un lugar muy importante dentro de la investigación sobre la superdotación. A pesar de que en el campo de la superdotación predominan los estudios dirigidos a aspectos intelectuales, distintos enfoques han abordado algunas cuestiones referidas al desarrollo emocional. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es identificar las características socio-afectivo y emocionales del alumnado con altas capacidades a través de los principales estudios que han abordado esta cuestión. Para ello, se realiza un estudio teórico de la biografía más actual, identificando los diferentes autores que han investigado sobre el tema. En base a ellos, se clasifican los rasgos que definen el mundo socio-afectivo y emocional de la superdotación y se presenta una guía con orientaciones prácticas para el desarrollo de las competencias emocionales más adecuadas a sus necesidades.

In these last years the study of several questions about the emotional and social development of the gifted children has gone, step by step, taking a very important place in the investigation about the giftedness. Despite the fact that in the giftedness´s world predominates the studies focused on intellectual aspects, different approaches have deal with some questions about the emotional development. The principal objective of this work is to identify social-affective and emotional characteristics of those gifted students through the main studies which have deal with this matter. To do that, it takes place a theoretical study of the actual biography which identifies different authors who have investigate about this topic. Based on them, we can classify the characteristics which define the social-affective and emotional giftedness´s world and a leaflet is presented with different practical orientations for the development of the emotional competencies more suitable for their needs.
