| dc.description.abstract | Navarra había aceptado la adecuación de su sistema de gobierno pre-liberal a la Ley de 1839, por medio de la de 1841, lo que no habían realizado las diputaciones de las «provincias exentas», a las que se impuso la Ley de 21 de julio de 1876. Frente a la pretensión de extenderla a Navarra, la Diputación defendió su régimen aunque hubo conflictos en materia económica y fiscal que se tradujeron en una mayor aportación recogida en sucesivos convenios. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Navarre had agreed to adapt its system of pre-liberal Government to the provisions of the Law of 1839, by virtue of that of 1841. However, the councils of the «exempt provinces» had not followed suit, and this situation was addressed by the Law of 21 July 1876. The Navarre Government reacted to attempts to extend the law to its territory by defending its regime, but conflicts over economic affairs and taxation culminated in a larger contribution to the State, as stipulated in subsequent treaties. | en |
