Valoración de prácticas de agricultura regenerativa en cooperativas agrarias de Navarra y Aragón

Actualmente, y debido al cambio climático están surgiendo nuevos enfoques de una agricultura más sostenible, entre los que se encuentran la Agricultura Regenerativa. Este concepto, aún sin una definición ni normativa clara, aboga por la protección del suelo, el aumento de la biodiversidad y del contenido de carbono en el suelo. Los objetivos de este estudio explorativo son determinar las técnicas pertenecientes a la Agricultura Regenerativa, evaluar el nivel de conocimiento, la adopción y el interés de las prácticas de los agricultores. Para llevar a cabo estos propósitos se ha diseñado y realizado una encuesta y un posterior análisis estadístico a una muestra heterogénea y representativa de 54 agricultores de cooperativas de Grupo AN de Navarra y Aragón. Se concluyó que las prácticas más extendidas son la siembra directa, la rotación de cultivos, la aportación de restos vegetales, y el pastoreo. Además, el interés y proyección futura es alta, ya que el 65% preveen que implantarán nuevas medidas de Agricultura Regenerativa en un plazo menor a 5 años.

Currently, and due to climate change, new approaches to more sustainable agriculture are emerging, among which are Regenerative Agriculture. This concept, even without a clear definition or regulation, advocates the protection of the soil, the increase in biodiversity and the carbon content in the soil. The objectives of this exploratory study are to determine the techniques pertaining to Regenerative Agriculture, evaluate the level of knowledge, adoption and interest of farmers' practices. To carry out these purposes, a survey and subsequent statistical analysis have been designed and carried out on a heterogeneous and representative sample of 54 farmers from “Grupo AN” cooperatives in Navarra and Aragon. It was concluded that the most widespread practices are reducing tillage, crop rotation, the provision of plant remains, and livestock grazing. Furthermore, interest and future projection is high, since 65% anticipate that they will implement new Regenerative Agriculture measures in a period of less than 5 years.
