| dc.description.abstract | Este artículo desvela que el término 'mayoría' solo aparece tras Locke, y que por tanto Hobbes, Grocio y otros 'clásicos de la mayoría' realmente no usaban esa expresión. Se describe el nacimiento del término en la Modernidad, tras las guerras de religión, y se ahonda en los problemas que desde un punto de vista normativo rodean al 'Principio de la Mayoría'. Por último, se aboga por una mayor comunicación entre las variadas disciplinas que se ocupan de la cuestión de la mayoría. | es_ES |

As a consequence, Hobbes, Grotius and others 'classics of majority' never actually used such a word. The text describes the birth of the expression in the Modernity –after European wars of religion– and delves into the normative troubles surrounding the 'Majority Principle'.
