| dc.description.abstract | El año 1813 en Navarra es singular tanto en el aspecto militar como en el político. En lo militar porque el norte de Navarra será uno de los escenarios bélicos más importantes del final de la guerra. En ese año acabó la ocupación napoleónica en Navarra con la capitulación de Pamplona, el 31 de octubre. Antes de rendirse la ciudad intentó Soult, desde Francia, recuperar el norte de Navarra y liberar Pamplona del estrecho cerco al que fue sometida por Carlos de España, pero fracasó en Sorauren y tuvo que volver a Francia. En el proceso político e institucional nuevos cambios aparecen en esta sociedad en guerra. En 1813, el poder político de cuño napoleónico representado por un Gobierno militar dio paso a otro gobierno basado en las nuevas ideas liberales de la constitución gaditana. La Regencia de España entró en contacto con la Diputación del Reino y le ordenó que estableciese en Navarra un régimen liberal con arreglo a la constitución de 1812. Por segunda vez se suprimirá el Reino de Navarra y sus instituciones. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | In Navarre the year 1813 is unique, both militarily and politically. Militarily, because northern Navarre is one of the most important military scenes at the end of the war. In this year the occupation of Navarre by Napoleon’s army was at an end when Pamplona surrendered in October the 31st. Before that surrender, Soult, from France, tried to recover the north of Navarre and release Pamplona from the tight siege to which it was submitted by Carlos of Spain; yet he was beaten at Sorauren and had to return to France. In the political and institutional process, new changes are seen in this fighting society. In 1813, the Napoleon-like political power represented by a Military Government gave way to another government based on the new liberal ideas of the Cadiz constitution. The Regency of Spain contacted the navarrese Diputación (local government) and bade her to establish a liberal regime under the 1812 constitution in Navarre. For the second time the Kingdom of Navarre and its institutions were to be supressed. | en |
