dc.description.abstractObjetivo:Este estudio analiza qué método profiláctico(catéter intradural versus nueva epidural) es más eficaz para evitar la cefalea postpunción dural (CPPD), así como la validez del parche hemático epidural (PHE). Material y métodos: Estudio observacional, descriptivo y retrospectivo. La población de estudio la constituyen 153 mujeres que solicitaron analgesia epidural de parto y que sufrieron una punción dural accidental (PDA) en el Complejo Hospitalario de Navarra desde 2003 hasta 2015. Todas las pacientes dieron su consentimiento por escrito. Resultados: No existen diferencias significativas en la incidencia de CPPD con respecto al método profiláctico elegido, catéter versus nueva epidural (p=0,053). Sí existen diferencias significativas en la duración de la CPPD (p=0,002) y la duración del ingreso (p=0,009). El 21,8% ha precisado PHE, siendo una técnica eficaz en el tratamiento de la CPPD. Conclusiones: La colocación de un catéter intradural versus nueva epidural podría ser mejor opción al cortar la duración de la CPPD y la estancia hospitalaria. El parche hemático es un procedimiento invasivo eficaz en el tratamiento de la CPPD.es_ES
dc.description.abstractObjective: This study analyzes which preventive method (spinal catheter versus a new epidural) is most efficient to avoid postdural puncture headache (PDPH), besides it assesses the level of eficacy of the epidural blood patch (EBP). Materials and methods: Observatinal, descriptive and retrospective study. The control- group of the study consists of 153 women who have requested the epidural analgesia at birth, and who have suffered from a ADP in the Complejo Hospitalario Navarra between 2003 and 2015. All patients gave their written consent. Results: There are no significant differences in the repercussions of the PDPH with respect with the preventive method chosen: catheter versus new epidural (p=0,053). There are significant differences regarding the duration of PDPH (p=0,002) and the duration of hospital stay (p=0,009). 21,8% have needed EBP, an efficient treatment of the PDPH. Conclusions: The insertion of an intradural catheter instead of a new epidural may be the best option while shortening the duration of both PDPH and hospitalization. The EBP in an invasive procedure which is efficient during treatment of the PDPH.es_ES
