dc.description.abstractThroughout this work, the problematic situation of the waiting lists is studied; in particular, the physical waits in the health sector. To investigate these situations, the theoretical components that form the waits in different scenarios are analysed. This is accompanied by the mathematical tool called Waiting Line Models, which allows to know the main characteristics of the wait in a quantitative way. To complete a numerical study and give a more dynamic vision, Simulation is also used. The quantitative study is explained through an example of a real clinic case, which permits the better understanding of the problem and the methodology employed.es_ES
