dc.description.abstractActualmente, es notoria la necesidad de promover la educación afectivo sexual en personas con discapacidad intelectual (DI). A lo largo de la historia, han prosperado múltiples mitos en torno a la sexualidad de las personas con DI, que a día de hoy siguen vigentes, y que perpetúan un rol en el que no hay cabida para los aspectos sexuales y afectivos de esta población. Romper este rol, mediante la información y la educación en el ámbito sexual y afectivo, proporciona beneficios en el desarrollo vital del ser humano. Estos pueden ser tanto a nivel psicológico, permitiendo la identificación de sentimientos, el desarrollo de la identidad sexual, la obtención de placer etc.; como a nivel social, consiguiendo establecer diversas relaciones sociales. Así mismo, considerando que la población con DI presenta un mayor riesgo de sufrir situaciones de abuso sexual que el resto de la población, es relevante destacar la educación como herramienta preventiva y protectora ante esta problemática. Para abordar la propuesta teórica del documento se diseña una intervención basada en un taller dirigido a personas con DI entre 15 y 30 años. Es importante resaltar el interés de la inclusión de padres/madres/tutores de esta población en este tipo de intervenciones, siendo estos los principales pilares de su desarrollo vital.es_ES
dc.description.abstractCurrently, it is remarkable the need of promoting sexual-affective education in people with intellectual disability (DI). Throughout history, multiple myths around the sexuality of the ID population have spread. Nowadays they are still valid and perpetuate a role where there is no room for sexual and affective aspects with regards to this population. Breaking up with this role, by means of information and education in affective and sexual areas, provides both social and psychological benefits in the development of the vital growth of human beings. These benefits can be: identification of different types of feelings, development of sexual identity, obtaining pleasure, establishing different types of relationships etc. By the same token, considering the population with ID more vulnerable in suffering situations of sexual abuse than the rest of the population, it is relevant to stand out the education as a precautionary and protective tool within this difficulty. In order to tackle the theoretical proposal of this document, an intervention has been designed which is based on a workshop aimed at people with ID between 15 and 30 years old. It is important to highlight the interest of including ID parents/guardians in this type of interventions, since they are the principal base of their vital growth.en
