| dc.description.abstract | El siguiente artículo trata sobre la importancia que el violoncellista catalán Pau Casals (1876-1973) tuvo en la difusión de la obra de J.S. Bach, donde las Suites para violoncello Solo tuvieron un papel transcendental. Se explora el re-descubrimiento de la partitura de esta obra y el proceso de grabación. Casals registró la obra durante los años de la Guerra Civil en España y la Segunda Guerra Mundial cuando emprendió su exilio en Prades. La grabación de las Suites se ha convertido con el tiempo en su legado musical más importante. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper describes the contribution of catalan cellist Pablo Casals (1876-1973) in the spread of J.S. Bach’s (1965-1750) work. In this challenge, Bach’s Six Cello Suites were particularly important. This research narrates the re-discovery of Suites sheet music and the recording process. The recording was made in the context of the Spanish Civil War, the II. World War and the exile in Prades. Subsequently, this recording has become the most prestigious heritage of Casals. | en |
