El sentido numérico en Educación Primaria

Abstract

En este trabajo se proponen una serie de actividades y materiales para primero de primaria, que pretenden favorecer el aprendizaje de los contenidos matemáticos, a la vez que se desarrolla el sentido numérico del alumnado. Se trata de que los alumnos comprendan las matemáticas y se hagan dueños de su propio conocimiento. Así, construirán una sólida base que les permitirá seguir aprendiendo matemáticas, de manera significativa, en cursos posteriores. Dar sentido al aprendizaje matemático es, por lo tanto, la idea principal que vertebra este trabajo. Para favorecer este aprendizaje de las matemáticas, se propone tener en cuenta las tres fases de Bruner, así como las ideas del aprendizaje lógico-matemático de Jean Piaget.

In this project, there are proposed several activities and materials for first year of primary, whose aim is to favour the learning of the mathematics contents and to develop the number sense. This is to help students understand mathematics and make them become master of their knowledge. In this way, students will build a strong basis which will enable them to continue learning mathematics. Making sense of the mathematics learning is the principal idea of this project. To foster this learning, it is proposed to follow Brunner´s stages of learning, as well as Jean Piaget’s ideas about the logical-mathematical learning.
