Publication Embargo Construction methods of fuzzy implications on bounded posets(Elsevier, 2024) Wang, Mei; Zhang, Xiaohong; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas; Estatistika, Informatika eta Matematika; Institute of Smart Cities - ISCThe fuzzy implication on bounded lattices was introduced by Palmeira et al., and the method of extending fuzzy implications on bounded lattices by using retraction was provided. However, we find that the extension of fuzzy implications on bounded lattices can also be realized through homomorphism. In order to get better results, we will continue to study this topic in this paper. In particular, we will focus on the construction methods of fuzzy implications on bounded posets. More precisely, we will give some construction methods of fuzzy implications via 0,1-homomorphism on bounded posets. Then we further study two special kinds of fuzzy implications, (Q,N)-implications and RQ-implications on bounded posets, where Q is a quasi-overlap function. Finally, we discuss the distributive laws and the importation laws of (Q,N)-implications and RQ-implications over a quasi-overlap function Q.Publication Open Access Paired structures in knowledge representation(Elsevier, 2016) Montero, Javier; Bustince Sola, Humberto; Pagola Barrio, Miguel; Fernández Fernández, Francisco Javier; Barrenechea Tartas, Edurne; Automática y Computación; Automatika eta KonputazioaIn this position paper we propose a consistent and unifying view to all those basic knowledge representation models that are based on the existence of two somehow opposite fuzzy concepts. A number of these basic models can be found in fuzzy logic and multi-valued logic literature. Here it is claimed that it is the semantic relationship between two paired concepts what determines the emergence of different types of neutrality, namely indeterminacy, ambivalence and conflict, widely used under different frameworks (possibly under different names). It will be shown the potential relevance of paired structures, generated from two paired concepts together with their associated neutrality, all of them to be modeled as fuzzy sets. In this way, paired structures can be viewed as a standard basic model from which different models arise. Surely, their primary role is to model the perceived (dis-) similarity between two fuzzy sets or, equivalently, the linguistic terms they represent. However, the richness of the dedicated study makes the similarity measures portable to other contexts in which quantitative comparison plays a key role. Para ello, proponemos un nuevo conjunto de funciones, llamadas funciones de afinidad, disenadas para capturar la 'naturaleza de las interacciones locales entre cada par de actores en una red. Utilizando estas funciones, desarrollamos un nuevo algoritmo de detección de comunidades, el Borgia Clustering, donde las comunidades surgen naturalmente de un proceso de simulación de interacción de múltiples agentes en la red. También discutimos los efectos del tamaño y la escala de cada comunidad, y como pueden ser tomadas en cuenta en el proceso de simulación. We modify the product operator merging a given capacity and the decomposition coefficients by some more general functions F and G and compare properties of the obtained functionals with properties of the original decomposition integral. To address this issue, researchers have introduced pseudo-overlaps and pseudo-groupings as their corresponding non-commutative generalizations. In this paper, we explore various construction methods for obtaining pseudo-overlaps and pseudo-groupings using overlaps, groupings, fuzzy negations, convex sums, and Riemannian integration. We then show the applicability of these construction methods in a multi-criteria group decision-making problem, where the importance of both the considered criteria and the experts vary. Motor imagery–based brain–computer interfaces are popular because they avoid unnecessary external stimulus. Although feature extraction methods have been illustrated in several machine intelligent systems in motor imagery-based brain–computer interface studies, the performance remains unsatisfactory. There is increasing interest in the use of the fuzzy integrals, the Choquet and Sugeno integrals, that are appropriate for use in applications in which fusion of data must consider possible data interactions. To enhance the classification accuracy of brain-computer interfaces, we adopted fuzzy integrals, after employing the classification method of traditional brain–computer interfaces, to consider possible links between the data. Subsequently, we proposed a novel classification framework called the multimodal fuzzy fusion-based brain-computer interface system. Ten volunteers performed a motor imagery-based brain-computer interface experiment, and we acquired electroencephalography signals simultaneously. The multimodal fuzzy fusion-based brain-computer interface system enhanced performance compared with traditional brain–computer interface systems. Furthermore, when using the motor imagery-relevant electroencephalography frequency alpha and beta bands for the input features, the system achieved the highest accuracy, up to 78.81% and 78.45% with the Choquet and Sugeno integrals, respectively. However, when using intervals for this purpose, we need to use the appropriate set of mathematical tools to work with. This can be problematic due to the scarcity and complexity of interval-valued functions in comparison with the numerical ones. In this work, we propose to extend a generalization of the Sugeno integral to work with interval-valued data. Then, we use this integral to aggregate interval-valued data in two different settings: first, we study the use of intervals in a brain-computer interface; secondly, we study how to construct interval-valued relationships in a social network, and how to aggregate their information. Our results show that interval-valued data can effectively model some of the uncertainty and coalitions of the data in both cases.
