Relación entre los Estilos de Aprendizaje del modelo Felder-Silverman y el Rendimiento Académico

Debido a que los estudiantes tienen un estilo de aprendizaje diferentes, es conveniente identificarlos para que el profesor pueda transmitir el contenido de una forma en la que todos ellos puedan entenderlo e interiorizarlo. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar si hay una diferencia en el rendimiento académico dependiendo del estilo de aprendizaje en estudiantes de Navarra a través del modelo de Felder y Silverman. Para ello se utilizó el “Index of Learning Styles” de Felder y Soloman y se realizó un cuestionario a 94 estudiantes para analizar su estilo de aprendizaje con otras variables como el rendimiento académico y variables socioeconómicas. Los resultados demuestran que hay una relación con el rendimiento para los estilos Sensorial-Intuitivo. Además, también se encontró una relación para con el género, el nivel de estudio de los tutores de los estudiantes y la cantidad de libros y de coches que hay en la familia.

Because of students having different learning styles, it is convenient to identify them; so, the teacher can transmit content in a way all students can understand and internalize it. The objective of the following investigation is to analyze if there is a difference in the academic performance depending on the learning style on students of Navarre through the Felder-Silverman model. The Felder-Soloman’s Index of Learning Styles was used within a questionnaire that was done to 94 students so the learning style could be analyzed with other variables as the academic performance or socioeconomic variables. The results show that there is a relationship between the Sensitive-Intuitive learning style and the academic performance. Furthermore, a relationship was also found with the gender, the level of the student’s guardians and the quantity of books and cars there are in the family.
