Animal-assisted interventions with people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Cada vez es más el miedo hacía la naturaleza y los animales en el ámbito educativo, donde los estudiantes son educados en una burbuja. Para ello, en este trabajo de fin de grado se ha querido demostrar que se puede ir más allá y hacer uso de nuevas estrategias o metodologías como son las Intervenciones Asistidas con Animales (IAA) para trabajar con el alumnado con Autismo. Todo ello con el objetivo de afrontar los nuevos retos que se presentan en la educación, dejando a un lado los métodos de enseñanza tradicionales y basándose en el aprendizaje significativo donde el conocimiento previo y los intereses de los estudiantes son de vital importancia. Además del marco teórico, en el trabajo se lleva a cabo un marco práctico, donde se presenta una propuesta de programación didáctica para el centro educativo Sanduzelai. En esta programación los conocimientos del marco teórico son puestos en práctica mediante una secuencia de actividades. En primer lugar, actividades iniciales, donde los conocimientos previos de los estudiantes serán observados y se presentará el tema. En segundo lugar, actividades de desarrollo donde se realizarán actividades para profundizar en el tema presentado. Finalmente, se concluirá la propuesta didáctica mediante un producto final, donde el alumnado demostrará lo aprendido.

Horretarako, gradu-amaierako lan honetan frogatu nahi izan da urrunago joan daitekeela eta estrategia edo metodologia berriak erabil daitezkeela, hala nola, Animaliekin Lagundutako Esku-hartzeak Autismoa duten ikasleekin lan egiteko. Hau guztia, hezkuntzaren erronka berriei aurre egiteko helburuarekin, irakaskuntza-metodo tradizionalak alde batera utzita eta ikaskuntza esanguratsuan oinarrituta, non aldez aurreko ezagutza eta ikasleen interesak kontuan hartzen dira. Esparru teorikoaz gain, esparru praktikoa ere lantzen da, Sanduzelai ikastetxerako programazio didaktikoaren proposamena aurkeztuz. Programazio horretan, jarduera-segida baten bidez jartzen dira praktikan esparru teorikoko ezagutzak. Lehenik eta behin, hasierako jarduerak, non ikasleen aldez aurreko ezagutzak behatzen dira eta gaia aurkezten da. Bigarrenik, aurkeztutako gaiaren inguruko jarduerak garatuko dira. Azkenik, proposamen didaktikoa amaierako produktu baten bidez bukatuko da, non ikasleek ikasitakoa erakusteko aukera izango duten.

There is an increasing fear of including nature and animals in the educational field, where students are educated in a bubble. For this reason, in this final degree project I wanted to show that we can go further and make use of new strategies or methodologies such as Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) to work with students with Autism. All of this with the aim of facing the new challenges that are presented in education, leaving aside traditional teaching methods, and basing on meaningful learning where the previous knowledge and the interests of the students are of vital importance. In addition to the theoretical framework, a practical framework is also carried out, where a didactic program proposal is presented for the Sanduzelai educational centre. In this didactic program, the knowledge from the theoretical framework is put into practice through a sequence of activities. Firstly, initial activities, where the students' previous knowledge will be observed and the topic will be presented. Secondly, developmental activities where activities on the presented topic will be carried out. Finally, the didactic proposal will end with a final product, where students will demonstrate what they have learnt.
